¡Ola! Means "Happy"--New Poem

“Ola!” Means “Happy”

                                                --for Colin Jude Kleppel

My four-year-old grandson often says “Ola!” to me,

With a perfect and beautiful Spanish “L.”

I ask him what that means,

And he responds, without hesitation,

“Ola!” means “Happy.”

Not the definition dictionaries give,

But when you think about it,

Exactly right!

So, to my friends and family,

I say,

“Ola!”

And “I love you!”
