With minor changes, Jean Ritchie's brilliant song "Blackwaters" could be used as an anthem for those fighting the devastating water pollution threat of Fracking (like Frack-Free Geauga here in Geauga County, Ohio)..

I got to meet Jean Ritchie in 1978 at Alice Lloyd College, in Pippa Passes, Kentucky. She is one of America's greatest folksingers, a national and world treasure.
