My 94-year-old friend, Robert Shamleffer

Every once in a while, Robert Shamleffer, aged 93 and 3/4, knocks on my office door to say hello or give me another piece of evidence of the directions and influence of the "people up there." When he says "up there," he points heavenward or moves his eyes upward.

Robert is stone deaf, so a conversation with him is difficult, to say the least. And he has trouble reading my lips, so hidden by beard and mustache. But I think I understand this fascinating man, who is a diligent, though totally non-conventional scholar.

His references to non-earthbound intelligences remind me of the old man on Boal St. in Cincinnati, who told Kenny Przybylski that a flying saucer landed in his yard many years back. Kenny believed this man and Kenny believed many matters of this kind--just like Robert.

Robert is an extraordinary man, and a brilliant one, and I'm glad he has befriended skeptical me.

This man has an incredible IQ. Genius. Some brilliant people look into the world much deeper than the rest of us. His 'quiet' world is stayed by God Almighty, whom Robert knows to be provider, but not savior. Pray for my dad, Robert, that among the UFO's he's sees the savior Jesus risen and seated on the throne of the Father. Thanks for your kind comments. ~Marcia, age 48. :)

My dad, Robert, passed away New Year's Eve 2013. You may find his obituary online. Praising God that he knew of the "Counselor" that speaks on our behalf to the Father Almighty in heaven. Dad's finger is pointing YOU to Jesus Christ, too.

Bob used to be one of my customers at OfficeMax. I had the pleasure of serving him for 7 years. I met him when I supervised the Willoughby OfficeMax and when I transferred to the Mayfield store, he followed me so that I could help him create his CD's with all of his information on it. He was always a smiling face that I looked forward to seeing. He often talked to me about his love of streetcars, his family, his research that he compiled at Lakeland and the professors he would submit his information to. I will deeply miss Bob and his phone calls when he couldn't make it up to the store to see me. May he rest in peace and his legacy live on. -Erin-

Robert was certainly an extraordinary man, one who deeply touched many people. We have a photo of him in the 2-B hallway of Lakeland Community College.
